2025, October: Let the shows begin!

The Path Triptych

God continues to bless me and my art career with wonderful friends and opportunities.

My very good friend since grade school, Sherri Burkhart Reddick, retired from the Anchorage Symphony this year.

Her lifetime of commitment and accomplishments to The Symphony is incredibly inspiring and has touched so many hearts in the Anchorage community.
It was my honor and privilege to paint this retirement violin as a gift for her. She plans to travel to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower so I incorporated this into the front of the violin and a message of “Happy life and Adventure” on the back. (In French. I'm so cosmopolitan-thank you google chat). And on the front are everyone's favorite Alaskan Fireweed and of course, forget-me-nots.

So as of mid September, I am in complete Holiday Prep mode.

I have a ton of shows lined up (maybe I got a little overzealous when signing up?) according to my husband, I'm the person that does this to myself. During the year, as I receive each of the invites to attend these holiday shows, I evaluate them individually and to be quite honest the highest value I place on them is “was it fun?”
The other factors are how much of a pain is it to set up and display and tear down all of my art. It is really a lot of work and sometimes art is damaged, which is always a bummer. So I have whittled down many of the shows I used to attend because of location and venue. The other factor is, I am a one person show (unless I can convince my husband to help me) but lots of times he is out of town. So there's that.

I hope to see you at at least one if not several of these Fall/Holiday shows.
And of course, if there's anything you are specifically looking for always feel free to reach out directly to me.
