My hubby and I started the year (and his retirement) by traveling to the Philippines for 6 weeks. We are both divers and wanted to enjoy warm weather with the best diving in the world.  We dove several islands in the Philippines and also enjoyed? this view from our hotel window.  The Taal Volcano blew (just south of Manilla).  We weren't sure what it was at first.... it looked like a nuclear explosion.  Luckily, we were out of harm's way and didn't really suffer negative consequences.  Every day is a gift!
