My First Friday of the Fall is Oct. 6th at Ak Cycle Chic and Alpine Fit.
The shop is full of very cool items specifically for active women. The owners are woman full of fun and energy and know how to host a First Friday. Adult beverages and appetizers, live music and a festive atmosphere. Stop by and say! 5-7pm at 908 W. Northern Lts blvd.
For this show I created a special painting for one of the most inspirational ladies I've ever met. Diane Mohwinkle-age 8O+ , started running and biking and competing later in life and WINS international awards at triathlons all over the world. SHE's FUN and everyone loves her! She doesn't know it, but I'm going to gift her a painting of herself biking. Shhhh...don't tell.
My last Alaskan trip of the summer was in September.
It was an OGGG (original Gangsta' Girlz Getaway) to Denali state park.
I have been friends with these ladies for more than 40 years and it's just a delight when we finally get the chance to hang out together. Now that we're all retired, it's more and more challenging to plan outings since we're all traveling most of the time.
John and I went rafting/hiking for 14 days on the Colorado river out of the Grand Canyon. My knee is about 95% and did great on this trip. (I had full knee replacement in April.)
We were with a great group of about 20 people who became our BFFs.
We were completely off the grid for two weeks and had a wonderful time.
It was hard to choose only two photos for this newsletter, as we have TONS of ACTION photos.
